Heidi Klum and High Fashion? I don't think so.
Ok. She was a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and a Victoria's Secret model. Heidi was never a runway model. Does that automatically rule her out as incompetent? Yes.
A German import of American Pie, she is kinda every person's model. Affable. Doesn't really bug anyone - doesn't require efforts of emotion one way or the other. You know? She's competent, professional, cute. bla. But her fashion sense sucks. Sorry. It does.
An extremely savvy business person, her endorsement deals include campaigns for McDonald's, yogurts, gummi bears, and she is the Tyra Banks of "Germany's Next Top Model"
Honestly, I don't really associate a spokesperson for McDonald's with cool hip fashion.
Having said that, one of the designers on Season 8, Casanova, seems unfamiliar with the term as well.
Project Runway, as opposed to so many other reality shows....gah......is good. You watch people who can actually DO something do something. The young designers have the ability to speak a straight sentence and create something tangible, and for the most part pretty cool. If you compare that to "Top Model": the only thing the wannabe models create are pouts and minor tantrums because it's too cold. Or too hot.
Back to Ms. Heidi: she' a bit like Chinese torture. Annoying over a long period of time. And that "Auf Wiedersehen" thing. Gsus. Why can't they get Kate Moss?
