Trying to wrap my brain around the events that led up to the unwanted abortion of the baby of Julia Holcomb... the mother of Steven Tyler's unwanted child... I can somehow understand how a life of drugs can make a person lack the judgement and perspective to make rational decisions, that would effect the rest of their lives. A sad story that is repeated millions of times in America ...less the limelight.
NO one gets up one day and decides to go out and have an abortion... a life of hurt rejection and betrayal usually precedes such a decision. Unwanted children grow up to fear that their children too will be unwanted and abused... such was not the case for Julia Holcomb however, she wanted to have her child, and raise her child to know love and what it is like to be important. This desire was torn from her, by the manipulation of the person in her life that had the control and authority that should not have been his... unfortunately, without anyone in her life to help... she gave in.
How many girls today are in such despicable loneliness that they not only throw away the lives growing inside of them, but their own lives as well. There is hope, there is help, and there are those who have made decisions on both sides of the fence that can identify with the pain. It is stories like those that get the media, that help us consider the millions that don't... IF pro-choice means an informed understanding that young mothers and children don't have to grow up alone... IF pro-choice means that young mothers have been fully informed of all aspects of abortion and it's lasting results, including the trauma that causes many to commit suicide... IF young mothers are also informed that there are many willing to help in any way... then I am pro-CHOICE.
Getting only the prescribed view from State educators, State physicians, and State paid abortion clinics... is not choice! IT is only one side of an important issue; what we have now is a mandated and prescribed outcome that will see the deaths of millions more...
