Does anyone want to speculate what got us to this juncture in our Western "civilization?" If you could go back in time and see some of the contributing factors that led us down this garden path... it may surprise you. We can all attest that the top factor that contributes to the corruption of people in power is greed... but what are some of the "tools" used to get the "small-guy" where you want 'em' ...so he gives up that precious "green"? It's no secret... ENTERTAINMENT.
I watched a documentary called "UnHoly Hollywood - This is Why They Call It Programming" ...and it follows the rise of Hollywood and it's control of our lives. Historically our western society was guided by principles and ethics formulated by the greatest influence in the world at that time... the Bible. What changed? Along with the prosperity that these fundamental principles brought to the West... came an independence on the God of said principles... and people went in search of new gods.
It didn't take long for families to be replaced by peers, as the central influence on their next generation. Just as the "sexual revolution" changed the focus from family to pleasure without responsibility... the upcoming "sexual evolution" will have a non-existent next generation. Living for "now" has never had the impact that it has enjoyed in the last few years... everything "taboo" is not just being established as "normal" ...but anything in opposition is demonized as a threat to national security!?!
At times mankind has enjoyed peace and prosperity... what is the opposite of that?
Debt and mayhem! The West has traded their GOLD for PAPER, and their GOD for PLEASURE! We will not see the survival of a single generation without some major "correction" ...everyone knows the EOTWAWKI is near, but Unholy Hollywood's message to everyone watching is
"do what thou wilt" and party harder! And we wonder why the world is going to Hell in a hand-basket!
Yeah I am some "Christian prude"...but my children still resemble humans, and I am still married to my (FIRST) wife of 26 years... OK I cheated... my God and Savior did all the work. But, I was willing... and tried to live by His instruction manual for life (Bible) and took every opportunity to school our children; not handing that God-given right off to the State. I figured it was easier to train-up my kids... than to try and untrain them later.
As to the biggest influence in our children's lives... it's HOLLYWOOD...
and "they don't call it PROGRAMMING for nothing!"
