It is quite confusing listening to US-Americans claiming they are the only Americans. While it is correct to say "Americans helped the Allies in World War II" or "I travelled to America" it is incorrect to say "America has 50 states" or "Most Americans speak English".
Most confusing is statistics that are released as if they were of the entire America or even the world.
I was told they are the oldest country in America so they have the right to the name and also that it is the only country on the American continents that contains the word "America" in its name.
US-Americans could find their own name like:
- Yankees
- Gringos
- Disnians
- Clintons
- Smithsonian
- Hollywoody
