I do not care what anybody else says: Global climate change is already here. I consider myself to have lived through the proof. Two years ago I was living in Connecticut when New England had one of its warmest Winters ever. I was jogging with no shirt on (in Connecticut) on Christmas Day 2006 because it was in the mid 60's. This year I'm living in Florida and it has been the coldest Winter that I have ever experienced here. I have lived in Florida for the past 15 years (with the exception of three years in New England for college) and vacation in New England at least two times a year. I saw icicles the other day, and I live in South Florida (unheard of). For those of you out there that still think this whole phenomenon is cyclical I say to you this: Think of the last ten or twenty years you've lived in your region, and how the general average weather patterns have compared to the last three or four years.
I think that things are happening much faster than even any of the scientists thought, and they are covering it up to prevent a general panic the world over. I mean just think of how much heat 6 billion people produce, and how much extra energy Earth takes to heat, cool, and transport its explosive population. We're in a cauldron that's going to burst unless Barack can really make major immediate changes in US energy usage, and convince the rest of the world to follow. Personally I do not think we can stop it. It is going to be sad that Florida will probably be under water by the time I am a grandfather.
