(First and foremost, I care for the U.S. soldiers. They signed up to defend a country from tyranny, not so that politicians, CEO's, and lobbyists can sleep better at night and make more money. I do not want ONE MORE U.S. soldier to come home dead or injured for what has seemingly become a lost cause. I have a good friend from middle school who was stop-lossed twice. He is a medic so he has literally had multiple good friends die in his arms. He came home on a three week leave from Iraq and told me that the only thing that will satisfy him after that is killing insurgents. I completely agree. I would be of the same mind-set. He should never have been put in that position to PAY FOR COLLEGE.)
(Secondly, I care for the hundreds of thousands of Middle Eastern civilians that have died in arbitrary bombing campaigns by the U.S. and Israel. I guess we have to blow everything up since our occupation has only fueled the fire on both sides right??? Our puppet governments and puppet police are getting killed and life in Iraq is "hell for everybody" according to my friend.)
George W. Bush and his entire administration should be charged as war criminals at The Hague. The WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) defense is as phony as "I was just following orders..." Instead of sending in special forces to assassinate Saddam and his top guys, as well as Bin Laden and the top Taliban guys, we had to commit almost our entire military to The Middle East. What about the 20 or so other genocides that are going on in the world as I write this??? Oh, right. They do not have oil. Our presence in the Middle East is primarily financial. Not just for the oil, but to destroy their entire infrastructure and contract its total rebuilding out to American corporations.
Before 9/11 Afghanistan had virtually no drug production, because it was one of few countries (China included) that executed drug dealers (a very sick policy, I believe that using drugs is an individual choice, a question of unlimited supply AND demand). Now it produces 80% of the world's heroin and it is pure. Please don't tell me that you actually think that the U.S. government is not profiting from this.
Getting back to my main point. Try the entire administration in international criminal court. They did sign off on the papers that have killed HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of civilians. A slap on the wrist would be better than nothing. At least it would humiliate them and maybe finally wipe that smirk off of that evil man they call W.
