"Over the past 8 days I was lucky enough to view 40 films...The most important film I saw was the documentary GASLAND...This examination of air quality and more specifically drinking water under attack from NYC to Ft. Worth was very eye opening."

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/...I want to know why the "News" doesn't cover the dangers of Natural Gas extraction? MONEY... that's it, say no more! It matters little who dies or who gets sick...
it matters only who gets rich! Who cares if someone can light
their water on fire... as long as it's only the
little guy who gets burned!
It is amazing, that as long as big companies pay some taxes, they can do what they please... this has got to be the biggest "SIN" for a "sin tax" ...be prepared America,
for your own local Holocaust served up everyday in your water! I live in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada... where our water is being looked at as a valuable commodity for US Export... I wonder why? It is seems to be a win-win... contaminate everyone's water while getting rich off gas... then sell the poor victims some clean water to survive.
It should say on the American Dollar... "In this god we trust!"
It used to be that people only said while traveling through Mexico "DON'T DRINK THE WATER!" ...I guess we are going to have to add the USA to the list as well. I don't think the US knows how negatively it will impact all facets of living for residents...
the few dollars that some get for their land, won't be enough...
when it is HELL TO PAY!

"...the relatively new drilling method — known as high-volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing, or hydrofracking — carries significant environmental risks. It involves injecting huge amounts of water, mixed with sand and chemicals, at high pressures to break up rock formations and release the gas.
With hydrofracking, a well can produce over a million gallons of wastewater that is often laced with highly corrosive salts, carcinogens like benzene and radioactive elements like radium, all of which can occur naturally thousands of feet underground. Other carcinogenic materials can be added to the wastewater by the chemicals used in the hydrofracking itself..."
