To broadly raise awareness of the 30 inalienable rights as proclaimed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Church of Scientology sponsored the production of a corresponding series of Public Service Announcements illuminating these rights.

Each is intended to provide young people with an appreciation of a fundamental tenet within every free society, so that the generation of tomorrow need not repeat the errors of its predecessors.

But you don't have to fall into the category of "young people" to greatly appreciate these PSAs. They're gorgeous and inspiring. If you don't like these PSAs you must just hate people and life in general. Here's the link to my favorite one:

These were put together as a part of a project spearheaded by David Miscavige, the leader of the Church of Scientology.

Nice going. I'm hooked.

And they aren't the only ones who are outraged
30 months ago: How many ways is this post ironic?

Scientologists claim to be for "the right to freedom of assembly" yet try to shut down protests against their abuses and frequently attack protesters?

David Miscavige spearheading these ads? He is a high school dropout who stole the leadership of Scientology. He is the squirrel pulling in all the negative to Scientology. Hubbard wanted other people in charge, not him.

And the St petersburg Times just wrote a multipart story where many exscientologists came forward to talk about the beatings and abuse they had to put up with in Scientology, principally at the hands of David Miscavige.

What was the "Church's" response? Did it support the rights of the abused?

Hardly. It revealed to the newspaper and the public the confidential files of the former members, violating Scientology ethics. It spied on them and published pictures of their house in the "Freedom Magazine". Tommy Davis, the Church's spokesman, admitted that there was a long history of abuse in management and that it was never reported to police.

Do you even know who the "defectors" are? Of course there are many, but the four major people - Mike Rinder, Marty Rathbun, Amy Scobee and Tom DeVocht. Do You understnad how close they were to Miscavige and at the top of management?

Think critically for a bit-what do you think that means?
Why does your organization support abuse?

30 months ago: Oh and I like how the "PSA" Youtube is so supportive of rights of assembly. Yet don't apparently believe in freedom of expression enough to allow comment on the PSA.

Why are the comments disabled?

"If you don't like these PSAs you must just hate people and life in general."

I suppose there's no allowing for tastes, here? :)

Like saying: Flowers are peaceful and beautiful. People give them to those they love. If you don't like these roses, you must hate love!
