Across the map we watch our cities crumble, fall, and turn to dust from poverty and mismanagement. There are no jobs, population decreases, and towns and cities take on a ghostly appearance. It is a sad thing to see disaster come about because things went too far and beyond our grasp. The carpet was pulled from under us. We didn't have a chance.
A suggestion to get back what we deserve is that government should give small businesses breaks and opportunity to go in and provide jobs for the people in the cities and remote areas to get this economy in shape. The Government can acquire tracks of land and provide low-cost housing for the people. People will then become self-sufficient again bringing our Country back, and this once again will be the land of opportunity. We don't want to go so far down that we will be over-run by the poverty and crime. Why don't these millionaires and billionaires start helping out? They sit on their fat thrones making the world past by them. Make a dent in something for the sake of God.
On a recent trip to Hershey, Pa., I admired the town and its history. I learned of Milton Hershey, and his large contributions to the community. Milton Hershey built a chocolate town in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Here is a person whose name if you think about it is mentioned every single day by millions of people around the globe. How could he ever be forgotten? It's phenomenal. He was a good example of how one person took the initiative to inspire people's dreams and visions by giving those chances. I can't say enough about this remarkable person. He built this town around his factory and provided homes for his employees. He started an orphanage and school and put his fortune into it. He made certain these kids were educated and had jobs for life. During the Great Depression, he created jobs by building a community center. He pulled this off by keeping people working. Today you can still feel the spirit of this community.
There are problems in the schools, for instance, as their town is rejecting students with HIV, etc. The new political wave has threatened every corner of our society and no place is safe from it. Everything changes, and there are problems to be dealt with, but my point is to follow through by example restoring our faith in each other and ourselves.. What is stopping us from making life better by visionalizing a better future in the USA and having a plan.
In the days when my ancestors came to this country through Elis Island and stepped on US soil for the first time, they already had a concept to start a new life here. They had a plan. Life here in the USA has been built on the dreams of our ancestors. My great grandparents had part in the building of Elis Island and that was only the beginning. My grandparents settled here, set up businesses, and provided for the people in their community by creating jobs and housing. My own family has carried down their style maintaining a sense of hope for the people. Why don't we do this today? Our Government is not going to give us anything for free. They may only demand more and more as our situation grows worse. We see this happening day by day as new laws are made which make the people more vulnerable to government power and control. They are probably so overwhelmed, they can't get things right for everyone. We have to step up to the plate and regain our American spirit and not let anyone take it away from us. No one can replace the people that made our country strong and those we relied on, but they were smart enough to leave a legacy through example for us to follow and be successful. They made sure we had a plan. We have our Constitution and Bill of Rights and that is who we are.
Sorry no picture. I know some complain. Our imaginations are good enough to see what is in store for us if we don't make a change.
