Session Timeout Warning

RantRave is a great place to write. The Google News aspect of it is very appealing because it enables the piece to get in front of a larger audience. But, one of the conditions for Google News is using a photo.

The RantRave photo timeout is terrible. Every time I try to add a picture I get the session timeout error. It is really frustrating because the article is ready to go, all except the picture. Yes, I can copy and paste into a new post, but I don't want to when my article is already formatted, the tags are added, and it's ready to add a photo and publish. It's an unnecessary timeout and it wastes my time. If it is a necessary feature then the time allotment is way too short.

I write my articles somewhere else now and then copy and paste them into the RantRave editor. But, because I edit and give it a quick review, I still get the session timeout warning.

It would be a great idea to see that changed. I've noticed some other features being added to the site, like the Facebook and share buttons at the top of the page and I think that's great. Now, if they can just do something about the timeout thing I'd be a happier RantRave writer.

Google Analytics on RantRave

Oh, and while I'm at it, an awesome feature that RantRave can add is Google Analytics. I track my articles using Adsense URL channels, but I'm over my limit. Having just a channel for RantRave does little but tell me that something is getting viewed, and hopefully earning. It would be a great thing to be able to track my stats through Analytics. For those of us who actually use this site as a platform for ranting and raving AND earning money, the addition of Analytics would help greatly.

I know it is not that difficult to implement because many other sites use it. I also suspect that it might help increase the overall functioning of the RantRave site if people had the ability to hone in on what is working. As it is now, I only know what gets views and earns. But, knowing why increases productivity.
