In one of the newspapers here it states that tearful Fergie was forgiven by her Prince
for her 'cash for access' scam. During a phone call to him she had asked him to
forgive her for betraying his trust and suggestered that she was willing to vacate the
Windsor Mansion. But the Prince, of course, forgave her, and said she could stay.
Four years since the divorce it seems they are stronger than ever. But with the
economy putting lots of people out of work and the recession biting hard especially
with businesses going under, high unemployment and loss of housing, it is no wonder
that people here are sick of seeing this kind of news splashed around the newspapers.
With all the privileges of free spending and past mistakes there never seems to be
enough money to waste it seems. Again, the taxpayer has to dig this woman out
of another financial crisis? I read a quote that she was a 'quivering wreck' since the
scandal broke of her accepting a 40.000 dollar payment. In the meantime, Fergie
has been busy at least by picking up an award for her charity work ( hers or ours )
and moved out of her New York hotel. While Fergie faces again Royal fury over
scams others are saying that no-one takes on board all the good work she has
achieved despite the flak from over here. Maybe, her handling of money over the
years has not been good and could have done with some sound advise but surely
we can forgive her for these 'blips' when really, she only strives to be accepted
and does see all her enterprises so worth while. Prince Andrew at least (shown
laughing) on the funny pages has every faith in her and supports her as always..
but, hmmmm, the people get enough about waste and with the 'cash for expenses'
scandal last year with some MPs people are not sure now whether to laugh or cry.
