When I was in Israel in 1986, one of our group sprained her leg and had to go to a hospital in Jerusalem, one of the nurses told her "why don't you ask your Jesus to heal you". Our Guide Hillel, kept us far away from the part of town were the Orthodox Jews lived. I knew that because most of them does not believe that Jesus is their Messiah, and that they did not except him.

It is hard to believe that God loves each of us equally, without measure or merit, and that His grace shelters us regardless of what we do or leave undone. I think it's so hard because there is no other relationship on earth like that. Every other relationship we have is affected, to some extent, by how we behave and what we say.
