Subject: tank it

Today's update: Last night the GOP couldn't pass the Boehner bill…because it wasn't radical enough for the rest of the House Republicans. Today they will vote on a more extreme version that they know won't pass the Senate.

Why? Because some House Republicans want the nation to default. Instead of helping fix the economy, they would rather intentionally tank it so they can attempt to pin it on President Obama and Democratic candidates.

And Karl Rove is heading up that strategy with millions in attack ads currently running in swing states.

We will defend President Obama, Medicare, Social Security and everything Democrats stand for. But Republicans are spending millions trying to destroy it all. We won't let them, but we need your help.

Our Emergency Media Campaign is going strong, but we need to raise $50,000 by midnight Sunday to keep fighting back. Can you chip in $5?

Thanks for your continuing help on this. Keep fighting.

Applying the main principle from my book, POLITICAL PROMISES: A REFERENCE MANUAL, it is funny that the DSCC is trying to pin the very action THEY have done on the Republicans.
Otherwise, all of the Democrats' sins and transgressions on the American people they are doing the "NOT ME".

COMMON SENSE needs to be apart of the solution instead of all of this Political Doublespeak. Politicians need to "step up to the plate and say it was a mistake" as Ross Perot said in 1992.

With all of this money that is being spent, how about spending it to HELP THE LONG TERM UNEMPLOYED instead of padding the wallets of Advertising agencies!!

Yet they complain about "Big Oil" not paying enough. Funny, Obama didn't make one of his favorite "Big Corps" pay a single penny while taking money from the taxpayers and getting hugh government contracts.

Who needs a lobbist when you have your boy in office?

The logical way to decrease the national debt would be to reverse the process. Cut military spending that has doubled since 2000, and return the tax code to what it was when we had a surplus.

Why isn't this even being considered? Nope the Tea Party Radicals are holding the nation hostage, willing to destroy the nation's economy to protect the tax cuts to the rich and to protect the military Industrial complex that is bankrolling them.

Why is such a small minority of the public able to use terrorist taxes to harm the nation? The nation will be harmed if they default on the debt ceiling, which should be a simple book keeping exercise, and the nation will be harmed if the rational people capitulate to the terrorist demands, because millions will loose jobs and vital services needed during this recession.

They claim that they are only doing what the people in their districts demand, but 2/3rds of the people in the country want Social Security, Medicare, Medicade protected, they want military spending cut, and they think the rich should pay more in taxes.

Even the majority of Republicans agree with this balanced approach, but the Republican leaders are cowed by the minority radicals who have no experience in governing and plainly care little for the good of the nation. They only have one goal to defeat Obama, so any compromise with him is taboo.

This is what the will of the people looks like: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/...

If something is not done, it will get worse. Unless they can pull a rabbit out of a hat in time, we are goners. It is very bad at this point and no one predicted this coming. The President has to do something whether we personally like his methods or not. He did make many mistakes, and I hope he sees it. He will go down the tubes faster than anyone at this rate. He will lose total credibility all over the world. Imagine if SS and Medicare were to disappear. Think of the people, it will be a spreading disease of poverty and sickness. This is like a plague.
