Okay, so the only reason I'm ranting about this is because I caught myself doing it today! And because I'm sure I'm not the only one of us who has done this before, or will again.
I went to my local AT&T store today because my cell phone upgrade is up. I wanted to look and see what new phones had come out, to see if I liked any enough to get. I did, oddly enough (I'm really picky when it comes to the phone I'll be using for the next 2 years) but that's not what this rant is about.
Right when I walked in, the sales lady asked if there was anything she could do to help, and I said No, I'm just looking around at what's new because my upgrade is due. She said Okay, if there was anything I needed to let her know.
I wandered around the store for a little while, checking things out. When I went around to the other side of the store, still looking at phones. She came over and asked, "Did you have any questions I can answer for you?"
I replied, "No, that's okay. ...when are you expecting more new phones to come out?"
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT IS THAT!?!?!?!?!
Did I have any questions...? No... AND THEN I PRECEEDED TO ASK A QUESTION IN THE SAME BREATH!!!!!!!
Did I just not realize that I, in fact, HAD a question? Or is there some stigma about saying, "Yes, I have a question" to a sales person?
I dunno... but next time you're out, please think before you speak... else you'll be just as irritated with yourself as I was today :)
Cheers!
