There is supposedly a photo roaming around the internet of the actor David Carradine found dead in a hotel room.

I have not seen this photo, and I will not look for it.

There are rumors that he died from engaging in rough sex that went wrong.

Please leave this man alone. Don't look at the photo. Let's remember him as we knew him, an american actor playing a chinese man on t.v.

He opened many doors for the asian community, and did it without the benefit of being asian himself.

Give him a break. Let the old man die with some dignity.

Peace.

35 months ago: Well said my ****...This mother****er was the biggest fake to hit martial arts. He brought shame to all true martial artist and sold his bull**** to thousands. Had it not been for this fake then the true martial master would still. Carradine stole the role in Kung Fu that Bruce Lee wrote for himself. **** David Carradine, he's exactly where he belongs.

35 months ago: Dissonant, that was so off base it's unreal. In the t.v. shows he never claimed to be Bruce Lee and in fact the execs would've made the call on who would play what part. And since Lee died young Carradine would've gotten the role anyway.

"...the true martial master would still"...What?

35 months ago: Dissonant,
Who thinks Carradine was a martial artist? I called him an actor, not a martial artist. We used to watch his Tai Chi instructional video at my dojo years ago for a laugh. He was an actor, and I give him props for that!

35 months ago: As to what another person asked about David Carradine being a Martial Artist yes he was and considered one of the best. David Carradine was not what you would call a showboat and did not believe in showing off. He loved the Martial Arts and was one of a few people who did not go around bragging what he knew.
35 months ago: Fake or not, he is an icon for millions. He starred in a series that brought together races and religions. No one can disagree he was a teacher. His private life is no one's business, and to Dissonant, my son studies karate, and the first things he was taught was not to judge others. Not to be haughty. Use the arts not to brag about your greatness, but to teach peace and nonviolence. But to able to stop attack. Too bad you didn't study close. How dare you compare yourself to anyone or laugh at their work/demise. You have no grip of the arts. Your post shows it. You should be ashamed. God did not die and leave you in charge of judgment. Rethink your lessons.

35 months ago: Only a fool, a jackass with no talent would type and judge the departed as if they themselves had expertise and had any talent. A fool has no respect for anyone else except themselves they are usually insular individuals who have more mouth than actions there opinions are of no value etched with slander. David Carradine was a Gentlemen not a show poney, genuinely passionate with his field of work. His workmanship is etched in history and his dedication and love for his art. As Picher1 said He loved martial arts and was not a trumpet blower. He was a gentleman.
35 months ago: I have long been inspired by the parts he played and how he played them. Often he was like a breath of peace walking through a valley of confusion. I liked his acting.

The shock value route is a cheap one to take, it only impresses upon others that you don't have social skills, respect nor taste for them as well. It reveals an immaturity in your ability to make wise decisions and thus are lessened in the eyes of those you seek to live and work among. You lose trust.

35 months ago: david did not know any martial arts back then...everyone knew he was an actor..that's what they do- make it look like he did.. he did get into kung fu later in life but was hardly the dedicated and talented practitioner that people thought him to be.. poor guy
35 months ago: i have the photo up on my blog, i got it from a thai site, it's REALLY NOT THAT SHOCKING,,,,the face cannot be seen, and the photo has been semi shielded so there is no blood, and all you can see it a body, with arms held above head, tied to a post or something, and the head hanging down, but the face is not visible you do not see David Carradine, you just see a body, and cannot tell age of body either, it is a naked body, but so far away from camera you cannot see anything.....not shocking at all....and SFW....kind of like high school gym class photo....but macabre yes
13 months ago: but unless to show some kind of lesson, why would one wish for a picture of a corpse on one's blog?
35 months ago: As a Scientologist, Mr Carradine had a greater insight into this thing called death than most. He would have made his decisions with full intention and without regret.

13 months ago: I admit, this was not one of my best posts...but a piece of crap? I thought it had a few good lines. Cypress, once again, you help me up just to slap me down, grasshopper.
13 months ago: Sorry. typo. I meant "Carp".
13 months ago: Loved watching "Kung Fu" when I was a kid. I even used to buy the picture cards with the bubble gum in the pack.

The fight scenes for the show look pretty corny now but the stories around them are still pretty cool.

Auto-erotic asphyxiation? That's a new term for me.
