"the occult of reiki...Truth about reiki and tell about practical experiences with ex-reikians. We are listing these websites as a unified Christian voice, to warn you about reiki and guide you Home to God."
http://www.reikidangers.com/links.htmlNear the end of 2010, Rick Warren announced that Saddleback Church would be entering "a Decade of Destiny." He told his congregation that they would be focusing on several key areas, one of them being "health and wellness." ... Who are the "world-renowned doctors" that will be helping to kick off Saddleback's Decade of Destiny? Dr. Daniel Amen, and Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Mehmet Oz...
"Dr. Oz Tells Millions of Americans: 'Try Reiki!'" In January 2010, Dr. Oz brought a Reiki master onto his show to demonstrate Reiki and then ended the show saying, "try Reiki" as the #1 "Oz's Order." It would make sense that Dr. Oz would tell his viewers to try Reiki – his wife is a Reiki practitioner."
http://wheresgodinallofthis.wordpress.co...I have avoided the topic of Reiki for some time, though I was familiar with friends and family members who were practitioners or of those who had treatments... I am compelled to expose some of my findings on this matter. I believe that we are not only physical and are also spiritual... and it is the adoption of this practice as medical that crosses the line. If one says it is a choice to practice or receive treatments based solely on spiritual or physical aspects, one's own belief is employed as to it's validity...
but as a "medical" treatment, the practice is elevated to a science.
From the information out there on Reiki, and it's former practitioners testimonies, it is clearly another variation of spirit-medium channeling. A practice forbidden in the Bible, yet accepted as "from God" by those who patron the deception. Even the practitioner claims all power channeled is of god, and even use the name of Jesus to deceive the unwary soul. I know individuals who are practitioners of Reiki, and in each case they are either totally against Christ or "paint" Him as just another enlightened or ascended master. Where the Bible entirely reveals Jesus as God Almighty.
I have posted a video testimony of a lady that has come out of Reiki... she tells all is not well in the "healing business" of Reiki...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCUP7hdCU...I have no problem with the Occult being what it is, I also have no problem with religions teaching their own doctrines... what I do have a problem with is the blurring of the lines and false claims that these are somehow "Christian" practices by mere association. What I mean is if a "Christian" commits murder, it doesn't make the said practice a Christian practice. Also, if a "Christian" says a non-biblical practice is OK, it doesn't mean that it truly is... neither is Reiki, simply because some practice or claim it is.
Similar to the practice of Yoga by many notable people, some claim that it is compatible with Christianity.... did Jesus teach Yoga? NO, and He did not practice Reiki. Jesus simply healed by the power of His own Name... and didn't channel other spirits or energies from elswhere; Jesus simply said that if we ask in His Name (in keeping with His character and teachings) He would do it. Simply tagging on the name of Jesus to any act or practice doesn't inherently make it valid. And that is what is being done.
"...Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea...In this passage those who refuse to believe the truth are not merely tolerated by God, He allows and sends them "strong delusion" to believe a lie... if one addresses the context of such a passage with others, God is allowing them to receive in themselves due penalty for rejecting the truth. This rebuke is to expose the lie, in order that others may see and repent. If God hands out punishment on Earth to rebuke a people, and uses their ignorance... they like Sodom and Gomorrah serve as an example, yet are free from eternal judgement. However, if one knows better and refuses the correction of God... that person is left to suffer the physical and spiritual judgement.. now and later.
There are consequences for telling the truth and lying... on one hand a lie can only cause a friend to be hurt, on the other an entire nation can be deceived and destroyed. As one can see, some lies have devastating effects for now and eternity. To simply believe a lie, does not make it the truth... neither does believing the truth, make it a lie because it goes against the grain of society. Consider the testimonies of those who have come out of Reiki bearing the scars... before your final judgement.
