Cult of Deception "No Second Chance"
Scientology has Scientology has 160+ little known front groups one of their "groups "Second Chance" poses as a criminal rehabilitation Project.
During the GOP campaign, an opponent ran a television TV ad showing Sharon Angle's support for a massage/sauna program for Nevada prisoners -- a program that was designed by the Church of Scientology called Second Chance.which they claim is secular based.and not affiliated with the Church of Scientology.but it uses pamphlets, protocols, training routines spiritual rituals, and sauna programs used withing the church as religious practices.
Sientology often denied that programs like Narconon,Criminon, and Second Chance were secular in the past and have nothing to do with Scientology,at times they have denied any involvement. The last few year now the "cat has been out of the bag" and it is fairly widely known that these are Scientology Programs thanks to Tom Cruise and others.
Angle's Web site later admitted that the Church was behind the program,in a written statement to her web site:
"The detoxification protocols of the program were attributed to L. Ron Hubbard."it was only because of much prodding by the media.
Soon after the press was full of stories about Sharon Angles paid visit,to the Second Chance program an Mexico that was paid for by Arizona Native and Scientologist Randall Suggs.
Sharron Angle learned of Second Chance through a political organization she belongs too,the National Foundation of Women Legislators the treasurer of that Organization at one time was Bruce Wiseman, a Scientologist and former president of the Citizen's Commission on Human Rights Bruce also has a connection with Second Chance in his past,as well as other Scientology groups, and lobbies on behalf of Scientology;s interests, Bruce Wiseman's ,wife Barbara is Head of the Earth Organization another of Scientology's seemingly do-gooder front groups.
Also on a NFWL board is Joy Westrum, Scientologist, and president of Second Chance. Her Husband Rick Pendery is also a board Member of the NFWL along with other Scientologists.they along with others lobbied and provided information to influence Angle about the Second Chance program .
Also according the Las Vegas Sun Newspaper, Angle is taking steps to distance herself from the Church and its shady rehabilitation program. The report indicates that she had the information removed of the names of actresses and high-profile Scientologist Kelly Preston and Jenna Elfman from her web site site.Scientology uses these celebrities to help push their agenda using their star-power to woo political favors.
In March, Angle told the Las Vegas Sun that they Preston and Elfman worked together along with Angle and others on a bill that would have banned children from taking psychotropic drugs. Scientologists are against vehemently those drugs,in fact they are downright militant about it.
Several News Reports in Albuquerque New Mexico in 2008 ,by TV and Newspapers (it was widely covered)the rehab facility had its funding terminated, the city closed them down for violating the terms of its lease by housing inmates charged with violent crimes.
In the week prior to the Leese being terminated and was to close Legally the facility was abandoned by the supervisors.allowing inmates left alone and briefly unaccounted for many were violent offenders that were the reason the city chose to terminate the Leese. angering the Mayor of Albuquerque who was quoted in the press "I consider it a early Christmas Present" regarding the Second Chance program closing.for good.
The programs in Mexico in Ensenada and Tijuana also have closed down since.Scientology arranged visits by candidate Sharon Angle and others.
Sharon Angle didn't bother to follow through and do her homework. all these programs were a big failure. instead she took what information Wiseman,Westrum , Pendery and other provided her with.
Scientology like to give false statistics about how effective their programs are, telling people that their program has a 90% success rate According the Second Chances claims. TV News broadcast in Albuquerque obtained Second Chance documents after the New Mexico facility closed its doors. those documents were claiming that 28 out of 41 graduates of the Second Chance program in New Mexico are back in prison after committing crimes.. thats far from the 90% success rate they falsely claim.
Scientology promotes their Second Chance program as a astounding success.but there are no programs running anywhere.the Program in New Mexico is in serious legal trouble, the Mexican Programs don't exist.they were turned down in Hawaii.because legislators got facts instead of Scientology propaganda.
Scientology released a pair of press releases today Aug 5 2010 by Joy Westrum and Rick Rick Pendery exposing what a great success the program is.seriously! they have to string along the gullible masses that everything is fine and working great.when the truth is. Second Chance doesn't exist.
the only reason for doing this is too keep the con going Scientology relies on the fact that their parishioner avoid "entheta" these press releases spun by Scientology are for the gullible masses trapped inside Scientology who buy into everything they are told by the cult.
"entheta" is anything that is critical of Scientology. which Scientologist are required to avoid at all costs.
quoting the first paragraph of a Scientology press release dated Aug 5 2010
"A new drug rehabilitation program that uses long-term nutritional and sauna-based detoxification – with no alternative drugs – is achieving high success statistics in a prison setting. Run by Rick Pendery, the national executive director of the Second Chance Centers, and Joy Westrum, the president of the Second Chance Program, the program has been running for several months in a secure setting in Albuquerque, NM."
uh Pendery and Westrum ,left the facility in the middle of the night. ran out on thier bills and the Taxpayers of New Mexico who funded the program. it doesn't exist! in-fact they only time they will return if by chance to New Mexico is possibly in handcuffs. they certainly have alot to account for. but until then they can sucker parishioners into funding a program that is not really in existence.
Hey at least they mentioned Scientology. don't see that too often!
heres the link to Westrum and Pendery's Second Chance press release
http://www.mike-adkins.com/rick-pendery-...Scientology also ran the exact same program Called Criminon..which is equally disturbing in its history ..bad press and corruption
Criminon Second Chance and Narconon "are a gateway drug into Scientology"
