What's wrong with Crystal Bowersox?
Critics have been calling this season of American Idol "weak." If you listen to haters like Simon, you might think that the remaining contestants didn't have an ounce of talent in their young bodies.
But there's always Crystal Bowersox. Health concerns aside, this busker has the power to be the next American Idol. Her last performance was solid, and her backstory is great: a mother, working her butt off, chasing her dream.
So what is wrong with Crystal Bowersox?
Well, she's diabetic, for one. There have been a lot of rumors about Crystal Bowersox. Pregnant? No, that's false. But last week, she was rushed to the hospital after some sort of ailment forced her to not perform.
Oddly, there isn't anything wrong with Crystal Bowersox. Millions of people live with diabetes – including noted actor Wilford Brimley. I'm sure that she'll be fine – her life story has shown that Crystal Bowersox won't let her health get her down.
Even though Crystal isn't an American Idol finalist yet, it's clear that her heart is set on the prize. One day, the old "Crystal Bowersox health scares" will be ancient news and we'll be buying her album on iTunes.
I predict that this week, the judges will see the true Crystal Bowersox. Nothing wrong. She's a star.
