Today, on the last American human space flight mission, there is an obvious distinction between President Obama and his Democrat, socialist party (including many "blue blood" Republicans who likewise suck) versus the Tea Party.

If we continue with Obama and his socialists hoards, there will be no more American human space flight.

(For you socialists saying stopping the spending on NASA human space flight will save money and allow private enterprise to take over, give me a break. You are either lying to yourselves or blithering idiots. Obama is only worried about spending when it comes to NASA? huh? And who do you think built this dang space shuttle and the moon ships, etc., to start with? Betty Crocker!?! Private enterprise is responsible for all of this. Government's role was to finance it.)

Fools.

If we continue with Obama and his socialist hoards, the United States of America will no longer be that beacon of freedom and liberty that the entire world yearns to become and literally worships. (Except for dictators and those of similar ilk who think they know everything about everything.)

If we continue with Obama and his socialist hoards, the United States of America will be relegated to another also ran country.

For some twisted reason, that is exactly what you fool socialist want.

If we boot Obama and the rest of his socialists hoards out of office, maybe, we will be able to restart the American human space flight program. We will have to convince all the thousands of retired NASA employees to help us out.

I hope it will not be too late.

The United States of America will once again become that shining city on a hill that the entire world wants to become.

And that is a good thing. Good influences make all those around better.

You dang socialists will never be ever to figure that out.

Shame on every dang one of you tagalongs.

I not agree with yu many times but i agree with yu on nasa.
All over the world peoples look upto nasa and what they achieved.
Yu need a strong leader and obama is not that person from outside.
10 months ago: Except for dropping verbs, we do agree on this one.

10 months ago: Red the whole world stood and watched when nasa started putting men in space, it is such a shame that nasa isnt still achieving great heights.
Is it the government cutting funding or is it the peoples choice to slow everything down with it.
10 months ago: It seems to me that having NASA is a thorn in the side of those who lean toward socialism. It is to big and to flashy for the socialist who thinks everyone should have only modest living standards and give half his / her wages to support those who just don't feel like striving for anything.

This ideology seems to me like a woman walking in the park with her overweight daughter who has a big double scoop ice cream in on hand and a snickers candy bar in the other. Then along comes an obviously fit and healthy young lady about the same age as the woman's daughter jogging past the both of them. On the one hand the woman could tell her daughter "look at that girl, she is jogging to stay fit. I'll bet if you would reduce your snacks and start exercising you could begin getting fit like her". But if she is socialist minded she will jump in front of the young lady and scream "how dare you jog past my daughter!! how dare you be attractive and beautiful, you need to stay in the house, can't you see my daughter is in this park and she obviously is a victim of that ice cream and candy bar!! don't you have any compassion? if you did you would do something to make yourself ugly so my daughter would feel equal and not bad about herself!!" That is the ideology of socialism and that is why the socialist minded people would like for us to do away with NASA because it may make other nations feel inferior and unequal. Competition is bad in the socialists world.

10 months ago: Hi Jakarta,
Competition is healthy,It makes everyone improve.
Good description with the girls in the park alot of people in england especially the overweight ones often play the poor me its not my fault its the food card.
I think its a shame about nasa as i can remember when i was a child sitting in front of the tv watching the space shuttle going up and thinking wow.
There could be generations of kids now that dont see it.
10 months ago: Thanks EM. I feel that things such as NASA can be an inspiration and a challenge for people. Or as the politically correct seem to feel anytime someone strives to better him/her self it somehow makes those less fortunate feel bad. I say they only feel bad if they have a victim mentality. Otherwise anyone can look at something or someone as a challenge or goal and use it as inspiration. I am afraid the world is stepping into a mentality of mediocrity. If this is the case then it will be a dark place without the brilliance of people like Alexander Fleming, Thomas Edison, and James Watt.
10 months ago: I wonder if these folks have any idea of the number of items they use everyday that were developed by the space program?

Should we start a list?
10 months ago: TCG,

I like the idea of the list... I will start...
http://www.moon-boots.com/
10 months ago: That is funny. I was thinking more along the lines of...

Velcro
Zip Ties
Microwave Ovens
Tang
TV Dinners
ICs
Computers
LEDs
Solar Panels
Air Filtration
Water Purifiers
CO2 Scrubbers

Etc...
10 months ago: TCG,

Yeah, just trying to be punny !:]
10 months ago: I will post one for all the tree huggers out there that moan about the use of the rockets.
Greener Living and by that i mean.
It may seem strange, but the green movement owes a debt of gratitude to the rockets that blasted off into space. Efficient solar-power technologies – in which silicon crystals grown in a laboratory convert light into electrical energy – were first developed by Nasa in the early 1980s. The same technology is now widely used by companies manufacturing solar panels.
I also think there is a list as long as your arm for things that started off in nasa that are now in everyday use in the medical industry.
Cypress what a great idea for the list and Truth the moon boots is a very good answer.
10 months ago: Not to mention that NASA inspired 2 or 3 generations to learn and always try to do better.

NASA showed young people (and the entire world) that the American experiment (liberty) allowed human ingenuity and human nature to explode and accomplish G-d knows what.

American exceptionalism.

And that is what Obama and his socialist hoards hate the most because they are losers and cannot keep up.

Obama and his socialist hoards want to take everybody down.

Weather satellites and radar

Wi-Fi ?
10 months ago: I think velcro was made by someone from switzerland but nasa developed toothpaste and metal wire braces to straighten teeth.
Nasa patented over 6300 items so there are still a few more to guess lol.
