A lesbian couple in California who say their 11-year-old son Tommy who wants to be a girl... are giving their child hormone blockers that delay the onset of puberty -- so that he can have more time that he can have more time to decide if he wants to change his gender... "This is child abuse. It's like performing liposuction on an anorexic child," said Dr. Paul McHugh, professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University.
"It is a disorder of the mind. Not a disorder of the body. Dealing with it in this way is not dealing with the problem that truly exists. "We shouldn't be mucking around with nature. We can't assume what the outcome will be," McHugh said."

OK this is just weird... so I am going to attempt a bit of BAD humour to help me get over this bizarre hurdle. Let's see if I got this right, an 11 year-old boy wants to become a girl (without ANY influence by his lesbian parent)... to grow up to be like his parent... who is attracted to women? The question I have is, wouldn't Thomas Lobel be further ahead if he stayed as he is...?
SORRY, it is obvious that this child is being indoctrinated by the guardians...
First, it is unfair to exploit this child in the transgender issue, on such a public scale as Facebook. Second, now that this child has been forced 'out' by his lesbian parent there will be no going back... if this couple has anything to do with it. Third, what kind of precedent does this set, and how early will children "want" to have sex-changes?
Will toddlers be next?
It is obvious role-models have an incredible impact on children. I think that children have an amazing potential what ever their life-decisions are. I also think that regardless of ones orientation or gender, everyone has the freedom to live as they choose, yet without infringing their choices on another.
When it comes to children being persuaded into sex-changes... it is child abuse!
We keep hearing how one is "born that way" ...at what point do we recognize, that we are born a certain way for a purpose? If nature chose to make us a certain way... why not be encouraged to be the best we can be... certainly being male or female can not be treated as a deformity that needs to be surgically corrected.
My hopes for young Thomas Lobel is that he doesn't get torn apart by the political pulls and hidden agendas. Watch this following video for perspective...
