URGENT TODAY: 1:45PM OBAMA Meets w/ Cleaver, Butterfield, Christensen,Clarke and Carson on unemployment and the budget

On Wednesday, March 30th, President Obama meets with CBC leadership. President Obama met will meet with CBC Chair Emanuel Cleaver on Wednesday at the White House. Joining Cleaver at the meeting will be the members of the CBC executive board. They are, Vice Chair Donna Christensen, CBC Second Vice Chairman Reps. G.K. Butterfield, CBC Secretary Rep. Yvette Clarke and CBC Whip Andre Carson. Issues sure to be talked about at this meeting will include unemployment and recent proposed budget cuts in the President's budget.

(MY LETTER TO OBAMA) even tho, I know he won't be reading it

Dear Mr.President,
I have never been so overwhelmed with your behavior and your famous words of CHANGE! It certainly has been change you have allowed them to take everything from us and my family and I, we are trying to survive daily and how you never mentions one word about your own people, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! Who have been waiting on jobs to come and come and come. While we have lost our livelyhood and everything we have worked for our entire life and now were be decrimnated against because of our age and time of being unemployment.We live day to day not knowing if we will be eating this day or not.How can you allow the deceit of your people in your circle to lie that there are jobs and the unemployment rate has been dropping of course it has only because they have lost there benefits. because of you not taking a stand we are considered lazy and among other things because of no fault of our own. Its sad that we were tax paying people and the rich are given everything and many of them owe back taxes, they just don't care about paying them but you all give them every break you can and act is if we don't even exist.How can you sleep at nite, go on vacations share in family functions with your children.knowing that many AMERICAN CHILDREN go to bed some nights without dinner. They had no christmas and now will have no Easter. They will be lucky to even eat that day.I am embarassed that i even voted for you and believed in you.Its time for a change thats for sure and its in helping the AMERICAN PEOPLE not putting other countries before your own. We need your help as AMERICANS, why don't you step up to the plate and do what is right.

13 months ago: Its still a start!!! I am hanging on to whatever I can. I got a chance at a job, but now that I had to sell my car to pay bills, I gotta figure something out fast. Don't want this to slip by. A few weeks would help and maybe get a clunker to get there and back.

I hope to God the President will wake up to see how much suffering is taking place and that it has been a domino effect causing all of us to go tumbling down. I hope he finds it in his heart to help. I'm not even thinking of myself but others that are very unfortunate without the basics to survive. UI benefits are temporary but will give people a new lease on life. It might bring back hope and confidence that our Country cares about Americans and not always looking somewhere else outside of their own Country just to look good. Sunny

13 months ago: So sorry Evelyn that you have to sell your car. I really hope that something materializes so that you can get a chance at a job. I am also waiting to hear about a job. Its an Admin job and I was told that the company wanted a bi-lingual person at first and then when they could not find one, they decided that someone with more experience would be a better fit. The agency is really hopeful and they called me to ask if they could send in my resume. I will hope and pray for good things for us all.

Kinda ticked me off that I had it then poof! that quick it was gone. So I guess it wasn't meant to be. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

13 months ago: Yeah I was disappointed and kinds ticked cause I was not signing up for there stupid email. But I should have known there is always a catch. Im still trying to stay positive, there are way to many us us to go unnoticed. Saturday will be our day to shine (The March for jobs) and if nothing becomes of it, then I think I will just give up all hope that I have tried to hold on to. Its becoming very exhausting for us all.
