it is reported that a Muslim cleric is telling his followers they must behead a Dutch politician who has been "outspoken" about the "religion" of Islam. He said some Muslims are fascists and compared the Koran to Adolf Hitler's book "Mein Kampf."

In the Netherlands, which is being transformed into a (societal, suicidal) "multicultural" society, this political leader is being criminally prosecuted under Dutch law for "inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims".

Some Muslim (loving, peaceful religion, caring, G-d fearing, ......) cleric has called for his followers to behead this Dutch politician.

You reckon that all of our "all-knowing", "all caring", all "intellectually superior" liberals here in America will ever FORMALLY call for such multiculturalism here in America and change our laws accordingly.

I can hear Obama, Altruist, and all the other socialist hoards saying something like "Freedom of speech cannot be as important as multiculturalism. We must have the world love us......" I can see these America haters allowing Muslims to make up, form and follow their own laws and government when they get a substantial foothold here.

17 months ago: As long as one individuals rights are not allowed to be violated by another individual because of religious beliefs held by one or both, I have only a few concerns about multiculturalism and most of them will be worked out in the courts.

Any religion can build their icon anywhere they want, as long as it is not built as a celebration of triumph over another way of life. (A mosque built at ground zero is nothing less than a victory flag of Islamic radicals over America.)

It is the liberals who are defending the Constitution which protects the minority from the tyranny of the majority. It is the right that wants to disregard the Constitution.

In the case where Sharia law holds sway the radical Islamists are the tyrannical majority and that country would be much better if they had a Constitution like ours to protect the women and the gays from being persecuted. The Conservatives are the ones attacking the liberals there.

Just because the Dutch have a legal system that allows people who feel they have been wronged to bring people to court (in this case their religion wronged) does not mean that he will be held guilty.

It does not mean that the Dutch favors multiculturalism over free speech. The multicultural society (like ours) already exists. The only question is, does the minority have rights like the majority?

Liberals all over the world would condemn the Radical Australian Cleric for calling for the beheading of Wilder. We are always against violence.

Fortunately in the United States our Constitution does defend the minority rights and does allow free speech. The tyrannical majority in this country wants to deny the moderate Muslims the right to build their civic center on property they own. That is clearly unconstitutional, and the tyrannical majority is now wanting to deny Mosques from being built anywhere.

It is always the right wing radicals be they in Australia, the middle East, the Netherlands or in this country, that want to beat their wives, and who call for the heads of those who disagree with them.

It is always the liberals who fight for free speech, the rights of women, the freedom of religion, and the human rights of all.

17 months ago: It is the right that is trying to repeal much of the Constitutionbecause protecting people just rubs them the wrong way.

They want to repeal the 14th amendment so children of undocumented workers are not citizens.

They want to repeal the commerce clause, because it gives the government too much power.

They want to rewrite the Constitution so the government doesn't have to Provide for the General Welfare because they think health care the highway system and a bunch of other things shouldn't be paid for.

They want to repeal the 16th amendment because they don't think the government should be able to raise revenue.

They want to repeal the equal protection clause because it protects gays.

They want to repeal the Due Process clause because they don't think everyone should be protected.

They want to repeal the 17th amendment because they don't think Senetors should be elected.

In fact for all of the talk about the Right loving the Constitution, about the only parts they really like are the 2nd and 10th amendments.

If it weren't for the Liberals we would be stuck back in the "Good Ol Days" when only the landed gentry had rights and blacks were sold and women were considered chattel.

Gov Huckabee (R) running for President in the last election said:

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that's what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards"

And why does he say that Ronbot? Because other than the date, the Constitution is godless; there's no empty religious slogans like 'In God We Trust" (who's god?), there's no mention of the USA as a Christian nation, and the only mention of religion is the right to the free exercise of religion and:

"no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

and yet in the last fifty since conservative religionists shoe-horned their god into government (e.g. Pledge of Allegiance adding under god in 1955), every President must undergo a de facto religious examination to show he's a Christian as though his/her religion is anybody's business except his/her own.

Of course, Gov Huckabee and other Christian conservatives want to change the Constitution to 'correct' it's lack of alignment to the Christian Bible. At least they're honest - they know full it's not a Christian document and that America is a secular state.

It's one thing to have a religion and believe in it with all your heart, it's another to try every trick in the book to force it upon the citizens of your state and (if elected to higher office) citizens of your entire country.

He said he wanted to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards and I quoted the Constitution with respect to it's statements on religion. That's quite a contrast to your statement:

Is that a concept that you would like reflected in the Constitution perhaps? Okay, let's work on a new amendment:

The right to freedom of religion and speech is reserved to conservative patriots with 'real religions' and these real religions include (Blank, Blank).

What 'real' religions should we put in the blanks? Even if you don't want to amend the Constitution, which religions are real and which religions are cults and ungodly? Who is the arbiter of this critical distinction?
