Unless you have been in solitary confinement or a dark closet for the past 20 years, then you have probably noticed the outright attack on and destruction of the Constitution. Everyone knows the old saying about the frog, "If you throw a frog into boiling water it will immediately jump out but if you put him in cool water and gradually turn up the heat, he will stay in until he dies." This analogy can be applied to the good ole US of A as well. We are a country that was founded in "cool water" on the principles of personal property, privacy, and individual liberties, but our water has been increasingly getting warmer over time. Some of us have jumped out of this pot and have been trying to encourage others to do the same. However, there is now a mighty propaganda campaign being waged, designed ostensibly for your protection but realistically quelling dissent and trying to boil that water even faster.
We are a free society. The First Amendment guarantees that "Congress shall make no lawabridging the freedom of speech." For the most part we can still practice this inalienable right. Except for
free speech zones,
Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD),
Riot storm troopers who beat down innocent kids,
the use of military against our own citizens, and just your
everyday police state brutality. Okay, so maybe not so much. The Fourth Amendment guarantees that "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." For the most part we still have this inalienable right. Except for illegal,
supposed, DUI Checkpoints,
roving wiretaps, and the fact that now it is illegal in Oklahoma to put bars on your windows because they might be "
preventing or delaying entry or access by a law enforcement officer." Really?? I can't protect MYself in MY house because it might hinder the ability of a cop to come inside MY house?
These are just a few of the atrocities being carried out in our country. The philosophy that our government is applying here is dangerous and hypocritical. They advocate protecting our freedoms and liberties by taking away our freedoms and liberties. Am I the only one that sees that this hypocrisy will never work? One cannot claim to be protecting freedom by attacking that very freedom. I will give you an example. Prior to September 11th 2001, the PATRIOT Act was not the law. Now, after 9/11, the government claims that it needs to conduct random searches of old ladies and children at the airports, spy on its own citizens, and hold people indefinitely without charging them with a crime. Some will say this is necessary to keep up safe. I will say to those people, where in the Constitution does it state that the government is responsible for keeping you safe? Also, how do you suppose that taking your shoes off at an airport or
police tracking you without a warrant keeps you safe anyhow? Now we have naked body
scanners in the airports,
US military being used against our own citizens, and
mobile mind reading security stations. Seriously, the Department of Homeland Security has mobile mind screening checkpoints used for public events in which everyone is treated as a potential threat. Click the link and watch their own video.
Now there is JihadJane, JihadJamie and a myriad of other American citizens being brought to the vanguard of mainstream media. You can do five minutes of research and see how most of these people are mentally diminished fruit cakes who couldn't blow up an ant bed in their front yard, much less pose any threat whatsoever to the American people. But the media and the government do not care about these facts. They use these "domestic terrorists" to incite irrational fear in the populace in order to pass legislation detrimental to the Constitution, such as the "
Enemy Belligerent Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010" as currently proposed by Senators McCain and Lieberman. This is the most daunting piece of legislation that this country has ever seen. It removes the right to a trial for American Citizens and gives the government the authority to detain American Citizens indefinitely for "suspected terrorist activity." The legislation states that any citizen could be an "Enemy Belligerent" if you are of "potential intelligence value" or in "matters as the President considers appropriate." WHAT??!! How chilling is that? The President can deem anyone he wants to as an Enemy Belligerent and have them "detained" with no rights, no trial, indefinitely.
What made America "Land of the Free"? How did we achieve "Liberty and Justice for All"? It was most assuredly not this ever expanding Police State that we are now experiencing. "Liberty and Justice for All" is not extraordinary rendition. How exactly does the "Home of the Brave" relinquish personal liberty for state sponsored security? The answer is complacency, detachment, and media control. It has not gotten bad enough for most people to care. And the ones for whom it has gotten bad enough (i.e. the near 17% in this country who are unemployed) have no idea how they made it to this point. The sooner people realize that the establishment does not have their best interests in mind, the sooner we can move past this growing tyranny and get back to progress. There really is not an overnight solution to this ever expanding bureaucracy and despotism. But there are some steps one can take that will improve matters and lead to the diminution of this autocratic oligarchy.
Step one: Think past the LEFT/RIGHT PARADIGM
Realize that there is NO SUCH THING as left and right in this government. This is a diversionary tactic employed throughout history from Caesar to Hitler. There is a dramatization of party extremities in order to polarize the audience into a bureaucratic rivalry. It is psychological warfare designed to divert attention from furtive establishment agendas. The mindless populace argues over irrelevant issues while global tyranny is put into action. Think about it, all global tyrannical policies are pushed through with bipartisan support. Example: The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (The Bailout) that was rammed down the collective throats of Americans by both parties despite huge opposition from constituent bases. This allowed the Federal Reserve to triage their private bank's irresponsible acts and cost the tax payers 25 trillion and counting.
Step two: Turn off your Televisions
Actually there is no need to turn off the TV if you can see it for what it really is. We have the ability to communicate freely with the entire world, yet we rely on television to bring us our information. We rely on television to feed us our views of the world around us. It is a system of propaganda out for its own interests. It is dedicated to keeping you tuned in so it can sell you a product, a politician, a war, or a bill of goods regardless of the outcome or effect on the population. This we know is true from the thousands, seriously thousands, of studies that show the harmful effects of TV. Those who know me may call me a bit of a conspiracy theorist, but I would like to pose this question. If there is a global conspiracy to dumb down the population and create a world government, all via propaganda and lies disseminated through, but not limited to, television, could you say with complete conviction that it is not true? And if you cannot, wouldn't TV be a great avenue of approach for said disinformation? And would it not seem like this conspiracy was working?
Step Three: Know Your Enemy
The enemy here is not the Republicans and it is not the Democrats; it is the establishment. To understand what the "establishment" is, you must go back through history and look at what brought down nearly all governments--the central bank known as The Federal Reserve in the U.S. Here are a couple of quotes from Thomas Jefferson that will put things into perspective. "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks...will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered..." Secondly, "A private central bank issuing the public currency is a greater menace to the liberties of the people than a standing army...We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt." The Federal Reserve is owned by private banks, some of which are foreign. It is not Federal and is not a Reserve. It is a banking cartel that has seized control of our monetary supply and policy, and profits off of the deliberate expansion and contraction of our economy. Ever wonder why there is a recession every couple of decades? It is because the FED can profit off of the "Boom" and the "Bust" by printing money out of thin air. The FED operates through secrecy and allows very little oversight from the American people. Without the FED we could not go into a black hole of debt financing endless wars simply because the tax payers would be responsible for the costs. Think about it, the wars in the Middle East have cost
$971,681,977,321.00 since 2001. That is about 7,500 bucks per taxpaying citizen. Doesn't seem like that much? Add that to the other $500,000,000,000.00 in the annual defense budget plus the SGLI (Military Life Insurance) payouts, private contractors, and disability and you get a number closer to around $50,000.00 per taxpaying citizen in just the last 9 years. And that number does not include taxes for schools or roads or anything else, only war. How about that for some perspective? Would you pay for an occupation in Iraq if the cost was directly passed to you instead of your children and their children's children?
Step Four: Care
Care. Take a part in what affects you. Just over 500 people control what you can say, do, eat, drink, smoke, sleep with, etc, etc. The simple fact is that we would not be in this position if people just cared more about what their government is doing. We should be having conversations with our neighbors instead of spying on them for suspected terrorist activity. We should not be scared to talk politics with one another; talking politics is how resolutions are made. I disagree on most issues with a lot of people but I don't consider them wrong and me right. Maybe I can open their eyes to something or maybe they can do the same for me. The easiest way to have a rational conversation is to eliminate these idiotic labels that the establishment places on us, such as "liberal" or "Republican." These are designed to incite ridicule and make one dismiss the other's information without actually contemplating said information. Apply critical thinking skills to all pertinent situations, and most of the time the correct decision will be made. Do not blindly support candidates because their rhetoric appeals to you. Look at real issues and not just media talking points. And most of all, form your own opinions based on real truths that you yourself have researched and thought about. Free thinkers are a danger to the establishment because the petty tactics of infighting and fear do not work on someone who has the ability to pose the question.
Once you can see the deceit for what it is you are much less susceptible to be fooled next time. The media is saying that we are out of the economic crisis and that things are looking up, "everyone go back to blindly consuming." However these are lies. Unemployment is still over
17 percent and climbing,
the dollar is failing and will continue to do so, the
government borrows billions daily in your name and cannot pay it back,
social security is bankrupt, and the Federal Reserve continues counterfeiting money driving up inflation! Unless something drastic is done to stop this downward spiral, we will see an economic collapse and depression far worse than this country has ever witnessed. There is a reason that the military has been training for the last few years to suppress civil unrest. When your savings account is worthless because of hyper-inflation you will be upset. Stop buying the lies that the media is selling and wake up to reality. Take an interest in what your Senators and Congress people are doing, because you are their boss. You have the power to replace your representation if you deem that representation inadequate. Instead of watching "Wheel of Fortune" read about how the Federal Reserve secretly planned to infiltrate the United States in 1913 on Jekyll Island. Read the proposed legislation that will actually affect your life instead of buying in to pipe dreams on the boob tube. Trust me, it is much more interesting once you turn off, tune in, and take interest. Essentially you must do this, you must take interest, you must stand up to tyranny, and you must not be afraid of speaking out. For if no action is taken, by the people, rest assured that action will be taken, against the people.
