Antagonism (and worse) in politics

Hate is indifferent

Some political spokespersons take advantage of our broad news coverage to broadcast their message. Sometimes these messages are devoid of emotional content. Only rarely do we see angry politicians raving in the news.

Iran's president, for example, often makes public statements and has given several interviews in public, in America. You don't see him with strong, inspirational messages, nor does he rant and bang his fist in anger. Antagonism isn't his message. The feelings associated with argument are not contained in his interviews and are not contained in his public messages. Antagonism is above his message and anger is above his message.

His message is founded on and delivered from the emotion of hate. And so the Western world can not believe his message. We dismiss his message because he delivers it without any urge to argue its truth. And without any anger which could be reacted to. Instead his words and feelings are hate.

"The Holocaust never existed", he states. He comes right out and says this. He isn't arguing and he isn't antagonizing. He is hatefully stating what he believes is true.

"Elements of the USA government caused 9/11", he states. He isn't arguing, he isn't angry, he is stating a hateful message.

These are non-negotiable statements, do you see? His are statements without argument, they are below argument. They fit perfectly with the world view he proposes.

There is a struggle going on in the country now between the forces of reason, the forces of religion, and the forces of nationalism.

Every time the West attacks the country, or when they are reminded of the overthrow of their country by the US CIA, the nationalistic portion of the country gains strength.

Amadinajad plays on the hatred of the West and that hatred gives him power, but he also draws from the theocratic nature of the nation because that part of society, since it is based on faith, does not need facts. He can create his own history and essentially lie to everyone and the religious community supports him so he is believed in his own country.

The only hope for the country is that the forces of reason will eventually gain ascendancy again.

There is a lesson for this country in there. We need to keep religion out of government and rely more on facts, history, and on science, than on propaganda.

Farrakhans - black separatist anti-semitism,and hatred of whites ,is acceptable to Scientology's leaders to align itself with him.

when is bigotry acceptable. Scientology leaders certainly have their price

Hatred certainly will give David Miscavige power, hes banking on it.

overlooking the blind hatred, for the greater good! and accepting it and embracing it to use at a later date.

strange bedfellows.

Clearly it isn't relevant to the world around us, but that's only because Terry isn't allowed out of Gold Base at Hemet, CA by his or her Church of Scientology overlords. I mean, honestly, "Only rarely do we see angry politicians raving in the news." Terry, when was the last time you watched TV? I don't even have cable or satellite and I see politicians raving about everything on the news all the time.

I agree that Ahmadinejad is a bad person, who's message stems from hate. But I disagree that he has never been angry. Clearly you've never actually watched the man speak, as he is a very angry man who uses violent rhetoric to accomplish his agenda. He cannot talk about the United States without inferring that his country will take up arms in some manner, or stating unequivocally that he will wipe the USA off the map.

Hate leads to anger, and anger leads to violence. I know you hate me, as do many of your fellow members of the SeaOrg, and I accept your hate without returning it in kind. You have been told to hate, and you do as your leaders demand. It isn't your fault.

Here's to hearing about when you blow!
