"Adam Lambert Rude" MSNBC

A self proclaimed reporter for MSNBC named Courtney Hazlett put up a two sentence "article" today quoting unnamed sources stating that Adam Lambert was "a diva," and "rude."
Such a well researched and balanced "article." I say article because the entire thing was about as long as what I've written so far. She gets money for this? Please!! No effort was made, of course, to find anyone who had anything good to say about Adam...like, for example, the other contestants from AI this year who have consistently praised Adam as their "go to guy," for advice on just about everything. Kris Allen says, "I adore him." In fact, I haven't heard one interviewer, contestant, former co-worker, nobody..ever say a bad word about Adam Lambert. So, effectively, MSNBC has come out as about on the same level as The Weekly World News. We make it up, never quote anyone and just throw some mud out there and hope it sticks. Well, great research, Courtney. You should be proud. And I'm sure your fammily is! I mean, it must have taken you at least five minutes to make that article up and get it posted. Proud of yourself?

Michael Slezak, who did a five-part interview with Adam for Entertainment Weekly's Idolatry, said this of him: I can't speak for other outlets, but Adam was absolutely delightful when he visited the Idolatry set. Heckuva nice guy!

35 months ago: I'm so glad you pointed that article out. I was so outraged having read it. That was total bs and just to throw dirt on Adam. But totally garbage of a piece.

35 months ago: That excuse for journalism was an absolutely reprehensible, uncorroborated hit piece with no sources or facts to back up even an iota of the claims made. I know that Courtney Hazlett has had articles pulled before because they were shown to be unsubstantiated gossip and that is exactly what this is until she starts naming names. There is plenty of written articles where people who have worked directly with him have gone on record about how completely professional, down to earth and non-dive he is to work with and I'll trust people like the Upright Cabaret owners, the Zodiac Show producers, Wicked castmates and everyone from the stylist to the make up artist at AI before I will believe a slanderous word from an unnamed source. MSNBC just lost any credibility with me.

35 months ago: Courtney Hazlett is not a writer; she's a copier and paster. Back in the old days, before computers, I did the same thing with my Donny Osmond/Michael Jackson scapbooks. I cut out pictures & articles from Tiger Beat magazine and pasted them in my scrapbook pages. Little did I know at the time that that was journalism.
In this case however, she just made up some crap or took a phone call from someone who made up some crap.
If she's a journalist, then I'm the Queen of England. I have to wonder if Ms. Hazlett received her degree from the school advertised next to the ad for sea monkeys or next to the one for X-ray vision glasses.
This reminds me of one of Steve Martin's old stand-up routines when he would sing: "...but the most amazing thing is...I get paid for doing this!"
35 months ago: Is that what you call a Diva when Adam himself requested to visit the kids at the MET when he went back to San Diego? It was closed to the public but there were clips where he gave the kids good advise on how it's cool to be "different" and not to give up! Idol Extra when the contestants were asked who is the camp counselor and they point out to Adam. He's always giving them good advice, very unselfish of him, don't you think? Considering this is a competition. Is that your definition of DIVA? I think you're using a different dictionary...something you made up on your own???

35 months ago: Courtney Hazlett is a crap reporter. She is slinging filth and should be fired and never hired again! You think anyone will take the smutt you write about Adam Lambert serious! You expect me to believe that from the time he arrived for that interview where we could see him the entire time he acted poorly or disrespectful to anyone? BULL! That artist has been nothing but thank you, thank you and thank you to everyone. He did not have to come sign autographs but he did. He didn't have to answer our silly fan questions, but he did.

35 months ago: In fact he was so positive and nice about the other Idols that you would have thought he was fans of all of them. Megan Joy was being laughed at and his comments was she has an original voice and a unique sound she will be amazing on her record. About the others he said we needed to watch what they do because they are all gifted and everyone of them could have won American Idol. A diva?!! Yeah right not something a DIVA would have said. Some guy asked what he thought about the country hick so said I can sang. And Adam said he is a big guy with a nice heart and he backs him completely and he can sing. He expects him to go country and rock out. So how can you call him a DIVA when he is so super protective of his friends from Idol? People could have tore up Megan Joy for her freak show bird thing but Adam came to her rescue and that ended that. The guy messing with the brains of the cowboy guy was swing pretty low and Adam stepped in and said the nicest things about him. Heck as he was signing the autographs and commenting and answering our questions do you think he ever came off as too good for us? No! He was respectful, kept saying thank you and defended Sarver from a bully. If anything Megan Joy and Michael Sarver owe Adam Lambert a hug and a thank you. Lots of people are going to try to slam anyone of these American Idols. I wonder if when push comes to shove if the other American Idols will have the balls to stand up for Adam Lambert like he did for them. AND they weren't around so there was nothing for him to gain for protecting them.
35 months ago: Hold tight fellow Lambert fans. This 2 paragraph article is flawed in so many ways. Did you read "...their sources are the guys behind Mr. Lambert's successful concert tours."? Did I fast forward in time and miss something? Adam has been having concert tours? Though I am sure Adam's concert tours will be successful, the American Idol tours have not started yet, let alone the solo career of Adam. And isn't the process usually Idol tour through September, then make an album, and finally go on tour as a solo artist???? Sounds like there wasn't even a source!!!! Just a news reporter that isn't in the least bit knowledgeable of how the AI process works. Just someone that doesn't find Adam to be their cup of tea and is "manufacturing" some headlines to get a news article published. I can understand not naming a source when a life and death situation is at hand, but this is what allows people in the news to makeup headlines at others expense. Shame on MSNBC!

35 months ago: I met Adam Lambert and he was friendly and polite, while utter chaos sprang up around him. This is a made up story that was copied from the made up story from another site. No specifics (where, when, who, what happened) nothing. Just a cheap shot at a very classy guy.

35 months ago: Adam is awesome! Not a diva bone is his beautiful bod!! I don't know him, but I'm sure it's 99.9% true from this mega fan's perspective! If you have to, kick some paparazzi ****, Adam. I wouldn't blame ya and wouldn't judge you either. You've been nothing but classy and sassy (love it) and can't wait to see you accomplish your dream!

35 months ago: Thank you for writing this jowilliams. This is not only about journalistic integrity, but also about the reputation of a beautiful young man who just wants to make beautiful music. It would take any reputable journalist FIVE MINUTES to research the facts and come up with the antithesis of what this "journalist" has published. I am still waiting for a reply to the letter I wrote to the Editor-in-Chief of MSNBC. This "article" must be retracted, or MSNBC is going to lose ANOTHER viewer.

So I learn today that Claymates were behind a story that was online at MSNBC regarding Adam Lambert. False stories like these will not win the Claymates nor Clay Aiken any fans. I should not be, but I am shocked and appalled at the lengths that Claymates will go in an attempt to "get even" with someone for something they have said about Clay Aiken that the Claymates deem disrespectful.

For those unaware of the story here it is:

While much of the chatter surrounding “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert has to do with speculation about his sexuality, the behind-the-scenes talk at many of the stops along Lambert’s publicity tour is how difficult he is to work with.

“He is such a diva. Rude to everyone — from fans right down to the lighting folks,” said one person who worked with Lambert.

“A-list celebrities have come through here and been infinitely more polite,” said another person who worked with Lambert during a stop in New York.

Lambert should change his attitude quickly, according to one music producer. “No one sells that many records these days to be able to get away with that kind of behavior. To be a success you need literally everyone in your corner."

Sure it would be nice to blame Clay's fans, but let's leave the blame where it is proven to be, on the writer Courtney Hazlett.

Such liars. I use to visit MSNBC for news update and will never go there now. I believe Ms.Hazelett is bringing down journalism with this garbage. How low can she stoop to get her name around the net?

I do not get the Clay-connection. He seems to have gone off a cliff lately so, who knows. I have never seen him sing (bleck) but it's possible I guess but anything is possible.

MSNBC-needs to have Ms. Hazlett in for a little talk unless they are enjoying her getting all the negative feedback and that she is getting in spades.

Something is sleazy with Courtney Hazlett doing this "unnamed source" garbage. Is this woman insecure or what?

34 months ago: Adam is a kind, amazing person. This woman did this for personal gain. Let's face it.....any publicity is good publicity. So let's not allow her to profit from this and refuse to use her name, and refuse to acknowledge that she is on this earth.
Adam is really a sweet, kind human with amazing talent.
She is a low life, useless wench looking for a meal ticket. Someone give her a bloodsucker to chew on.
