Are you as devastated as I am that the AVP tour has been cancelled due to lack of sponsorship? (Meaning, "lack of interest", really). I mean, no tanned, bikini-clad
women, or guys who weren't quite tall enough (or, to be non-PC, "ethnic enough")
to make the big money in basketball. I don't want to live in a world without professional volleyball!
Actually, isn't volleyball what you play in special P.E. in high school and at
church camp?
Hey, for obscure, fringe sports...there's always water polo, field hockey, and
curling!

The main value of volleyball, as all sports, should mainly be considered as a participatory sport, rather than a spectator sport. While volleyball is not as athletic and doesn't develop the strength and cardio that other sports do, it does prepare you better to be a team player at work. It does not promote violence or showboating that the other sports do.
