Good information. I don't own one but if I did I'd give it a try. If you run across any other tech gems, please post them as that is one forum that gets very little exposure here.

It contains a dock connector with a battery & SIM card that turns your iPod Touch into a cellular phone. As such, you'd have to get a phone plan from a cell phone carrier like AT&T and that's no free ride. A review I read on Engadget states, "you'll have to deal with a static, impossible to adjust call volume, quirky SMS delivery and blanked messages for missed calls."

And while jailbreaking might be legal, if your iPod Touch gets bricked (perhaps from using this device) and can't be restored to pre-jailbreak firmware, your Apple warranty will be voided assuming you have one.

Also, you can already use an iPod Touch as a phone by using the Skype application (uses VoIP) and one won't need to jailbreak or risk damaging your device.

As Six mentioned, it's normal Internet etiquette not to use all-caps except as he mentioned but no biggy, it's your first post and welcome aboard - you'll fit right in :)
