As a memorandum of their achievement, a mosque is being built in New York ground zero, they say that it is to soothe old hurts, but is that what their goals are? Some New York citizens are furious, how do you feel about this, would Muslims allowed a Christian Church to be built, if the situation was the opposite situation, The location was precisely a key selling point for the group of Muslims, who bought the building in July?
A presence so close to the World Trade Center, "where a piece of the wreckage fell," said Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the cleric leading the project, "sends the opposite statement to what happened on 9/11."
The Muslim agenda has always been to take over by slowly gaining a foothold, and is to outnumber the population of a country by population, of course our democratic system makes it easy for them to achieve success, this is what is now happening in Europe and England.
The Imam who is leading the project says having a mosque at the site of the terrorist attacks will send a gesture to extremists.
Lynn Rasic, a spokeswoman for the National September 11 Memorial and Museum says, "The concept of a cultural centre that reinforces connections among Muslims and people of all faiths and backgrounds is positive." She describes Imam Feisal as having built a career preaching broad-mindedness and interfaith understanding.
The project is a cooperation between the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Initiative, both of which work to improve relations with followers of the religion, CNN reports:
Daisy Khan, executive director of the Muslim society, described her vision of a center led by Muslims, but serving the community as a whole.
One man who lost his son, who was a firefighter, in the attacks says he doesn't like the idea, the New York Daily News reports:
"I realize it's not all of them, but I don't want to have to go down to a memorial where my son died on 9/11 and look at a mosque," said retired FDNY Deputy Chief Jim Riches — whose son Jim, also a firefighter, was killed on 9/11. "If you ask me, it's a religion of hate."
