As if any further proof is needed that the recipes that were constantly published on this site were not originals I did some investigating. What this person did as a habit was to "double" the recipe as to make it her own. I randomly picked a few of her postings and then searched www.allrecipes.com . As you might guess it proved my suspicions on this "blogger" Here are just a few example of her "work"...

Diabetic Peanut Butter Cookies:

As Posted on Rantrave:

Ingredients

4 cups of peanut butter

4 cups of Splenda or Sweet N Low

4 large eggs

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the above three ingredients in a medium bowl.

Roll into small balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. You can refrigerate or freeze any unused portion.

Bake for 8 - 9 minutes

Let the cookies cool for about 10 minutes, and then serve.

As it appears on allrecipes.com Same ingredients...just doubled...

2 cups smooth natural peanut butter
2 cups granular no-calorie sucralose sweetener (e.g., Splenda ®)
2 large eggs
Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2.Thoroughly mix together the peanut butter, sucralose, and eggs in a bowl. Drop mixture by spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
3.Bake in the preheated oven until center appears dry, about 8 minutes.

Below is the magic "French Bread Pizza"

1 pound Sausage, sliced pepperoni, veggies, ham (You choose the toppings)

1 French long baguette (usually found in the bakery section of your supermarket)

¾ cup of your favorite pizza sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

And here as it appears on allrecipe.com

1 pound Bob Evans® Original Recipe Sausage Roll
1 French baguette (about 20 inches long)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded Italian style cheese

I can assure you these are not coincidences. There are many more "original" recipes that can be found on recipes.com

She was using RantRave as her cash cow. And to top things off she messaged me that she is NOT unemployed.

Why these postings were allowed to continue is beyond me. It is one reason that it has lost credibility.

Post it.
15 months ago: @Happy - You do realize that by posting this you are plagiarizing her, right? I'm not being a jerk, but technically that's what it is even if you're trying to prove it.

To avoid that and do this all above board you want to quote her work or anyone else using the blockquote feature. To do that you write this w/o the spaces
text you want to quote and then to end the quote.

Otherwise, you can get dinged and RR should delete this.

I know you're trying to do a good thing so I want to make sure you know how to lay the proof w/o getting yourself in trouble, especially if you are using Google Adsense on your articles.

When you use block quotes make sure that the symbols and words have no spaces between them.
15 months ago: Outside of the recipes, SmartyGirl wrote some stuff that blows most of the trivialities of this site away. Health, culture, news, etc. Not one dimensional at all.

Cut her some slack already. I am sure it was never her intention to harm this site (if in fact that's what happened). May be bigger fish to fry here, you think?

Be that as it may, I am glad we have a larger diversity of writers here these days. Growing sometimes involves pain. And mistakes.

What's it now going to take for us to recover and go to the next level? No quitters here right? No one throwing their hands in the air, huh?

I don't think we're going to move forward by looking too long in the rear view mirror.

What we ALL do now and what we do next is what is important going forward.

15 months ago: Most of her posts were very similiar to other articles. I have not mentioned any names. I do not belong to any sites that pay me money to post.
15 months ago: One of the rants posted is VERY similiar to one on the Huffingtonpost. Including the same EXACT pictures and graphs.

15 months ago: Why are you so obsessed with recipes? It seems to me if the story about losing your wife and child to a drunk driver were true, you would spend your time writing about the dangers of drunk driving not cookie recipes.
15 months ago: First of all how dare you go there. I lost my family 12 years ago and dedicated 5 years of my life going to schools and functions with the kid who killed my wife and son. I have done my part and continue to do so.

What does that have to do with a scum blogger stealing other people's work and cashing in on it???? I HATE people who take what is not theirs. It is called being LAZY.
15 months ago: And where has she been since the $$$$$ has dried up??

15 months ago: I have seen nothing to convince me you are telling the truth, I think you made the story up for attention. Your behavior does not match the circumstances.
You seem jealous of the success of others and angry you can not achieve that same success.

All you have proven is.
1. There are at least two cookie recipes.
2. You are a plagiarist as pointed out by the administrator, but its ok when you do it.
3. You think you are the judge of how far is too far, right wrong etc. (narcissism)
4. You need to get help.
15 months ago: 1. There are over 30 recipes.
2. I appear to have a few more brain cells then you so I really don't care what you think.

15 months ago: Google says about 3,180,000 results, I'm sure you read them all. (OCD)
You say, you don't care what I think but yet you respond, showing you do care what I think. (disorganized thinking )
