99ers aboard the leaking SS 99er are seasick from the tsunami-induced financial whiplash felt in the wake of our tax dollars floating oversees to aid foreigners, while millions of hard-working, tax-paying Americans can't even afford to eat, pay rent or buy gas.

The American government has become the Anti-Robin Hood of the 21st Century - steal from the middle-class (taxes), give a little bit to the poor (welfare, foreign aid), and keep most of it for themselves (payrolls of U.S. politicians).

Millions of un/under-employed Americans are floating helplessly on the SS 99er, without harbor or succor in sight.

14 months ago: Japan is just the latest country America will rush to save while continuing to leave Americans on the streets to die.
14 months ago: I think you can use better word pictures and angles without insulting the 99ers you represent and those you are hoping to reach with your message... the type of plight of those in Japan, will hit here soon enough and we won't have to imagine hardship or the bodies that will be found on our streets.

14 months ago: Truthbury. My being a 99er I don't see that he wrote anything so bad.
People are very bad off and that is the bottom line. By just writing he is supporting the 99ers. Something has to break. If you read a lot of blogs and posts, people are really crying out for help. I can understand what you are saying, but it is a very difficult point to stress and get across because many cannot understand fully what people are going through.

America does not need to rush across the ocean to save anyone until after America has saved its own people.

Canada of course, is free to jump right in.

I get that, yet if a country like Japan falls due to hardship, what do you think the effects would be on America? Is Japan disposable to America?

14 months ago: Japan has a lot of money invested in this Country. They own a lot of big businesses here and real estate. They need help, of course, but so do we. Americans have that humanitarian spirit, but the Government doesn't see it that way. The Government is all business.

14 months ago: Absolutely. I will gladly sacrifice any other nation for America.

I am an American and as an American, I put America and American citizens first.

After Americans are taken care of, America can move on to solving other nations problems unless Canada gets there first.

This is similar to the middle eastern nations that want America to create and enforce a no fly zone over Libya.

Let the nations that want it done, do it, and they can do it with the billions of dollars of military equipment America gave them for stability in the region.

14 months ago: Don't you think that the 99ers have been shunned to a certain extent? If the Government tried to implement something whereby a potential employer showed proof or willingness to hire people that have been out of work for long term, it would be some improvement in the right direction. Companies have to show proof that they hire a certain percentage of women, minorities, disabled, and people in certain age brackets. They show percentages of women given equal opportunity in higher level jobs. Why not do it for the 99er/unemployed, even if it is until the economy gets back on track. I'm not even mentioning Tier 5 although it is absolutely needed. If you think of the kids going hungry or homeless because of their families being out of work, then what is better than that. It is only short term. Enough to bring back a ray of hope for people.

The average working American seems to feel more compassion for feral cats than starving 99ers.

14 months ago: PD ...After all is said and done, you wonder "Where was The Pres when we needed him." Feels like he set us adrift and nobody else can see this. "Live and Let Die" . Exactly, and this is reality. Funny I ran into whats his name, Roger Moore, at the World's Fair in Toronto years ago and Jane Seymour I met and spoke to her the last couple of summers. All acting and fantasy, and this is reality. You can't pitch or sell reality to the people. Nobody cares but movies everyone runs.

It's becoming clearer and clearer every day that President Obombasta's real agenda is to destroy the middle class in America in exchange for a fat check that will insure the financial security of his family for many generations.

President Obombasta is a master of smoke and mirror verbal hypnosis, whereby the listener is lulled into a false sense of security by soothing words, while his wallet and wristwatch are being stolen by over-educated, white-collared pick-pockets.

President Obombasta made a bad situation worse.

13 months ago: Pastor how can people accept this Leadership. They never did before. He doesn't seem so charming anymore. Some people live and die for this person thinking it is the savior of some sort. He is more geared toward military involvement. We can't lose any more of our people for some battle that will go on for the next Centrury. Other Countries seem to do just so much and then that's it. He doesn't even pretend anymore to care about the American People. He doesn't care what we think. It is his way or none at all. I wish he would show concern for domestic problems. He concentrates on the least important thing to look like he is doing something for us. Education - that's a laugh. Who can be educated in the future if there won't be any money to send kids to school. The way it looks kids won't even be able to go to high school and will have to work to eat. They won't be educated or read or write if that happens. I think that is what their plan is not to make these kids ensure a strong future of America. That will be the complete down fall of the American society.

President Obombasta may very well be the Biblically foretold "Anti-Christ". He seems intent on leading America into further military entanglements which will ultimately result in World War III.

I had a faint glimmer of hope in him until he committed American troops to combat in Libya.

President Obombasta is simply the latest in a long line of elected officials who have betrayed oaths, broken laws and lied to millions of people.

13 months ago: PD when I see him on the news, I can't believe it is the same person that ran for Presidency and acknowledged the people by making them important.
As far as a lot of people saying he is afraid, who hasn't been that took that job. They know what to expect when they take the oath of Presidency. I feel bad for him but that was his choice. Look at the men and woman serving this Country at his command. We lose them. For what? And he is afraid, and we have to keep that in mind to sympathize with his actions or non actions. I can't make a better argument.

Regardless, President Obombasta has crossed the line of fiscal incompetence and wandered into the cloudy, ill-defined realm of war crimes.

Or perhaps the puppet-masters pulling his strings are unconcerned about the illegality and conceit openly displayed by arbitrarily declaring war on Libya?

13 months ago: PD Just this morning I took a look at what was going on in the World News today. It is so crazy. These double talking ego maniac politicians have to go. They represent what our next President will be. It makes me ill to see some of these people out there having the audacity to speak to America and think we are fools. They are hungry for power talking out of two sides of their mouths. They convince themselves they are other than what they appear to Americans. The entire world has officially gone crazy. The bizarre weather lately is only a symptom.

Every day seems to bring worse tragedies.

The wool "they're" trying to pull over our eyes is actually a synthetic blend of empty promises and false prophecies.
