99ers Forced To Live In Caves - Tier 5 Unemployment Now!

Yeah.

We lost our jobs, our careers, our homes, our apartments, our cars, our savings accounts, our 401K'S, our insurance policies, our credit scores, our freedom, our respect, our clothes, our shoes, our furniture, our significant others, our friends, our families, our faith, etc. - 99ers lost it all.

But in the process we learned many useful survival skills.

Forced to live in caves, under bridges and in abandoned warehouses, many 99ers have mastered the arts of fire-starting, floor-sleeping, aluminum-can-recycling, dumpster-diving, pan-handling, train-hopping, gardening, farming, hunting, fishing, gathering, canning, cigarette-rolling, eBaying, flea-marketing, pawn-shopping, plasma-donating, etc.

Regardless of any of the afore mentioned personal accomplishments, the heat is on.

Many sectors of modern American society want nothing more than to see all 99ers die immediately.

Fellow 99ers, don't give them the satisfaction.

Eat treebark if you have to. Just stay alive, and make sure that every employed American knows that you are being intentionally murdered via the denial of Tier 5 Unemployment Benefits.

It is Un-American that any tax-paying American should be forced to live in a cave.

The 99ers will be proficient in homeopathic healing techniques, so they will become the new physicians. They will be able to find sustenance in places the average newbie would never think of looking.

99ers will be the new aristocracy, the new kings.

You have my permission to run with that idea.

Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes.
14 months ago: HGTV will have to start a new series on "Cave Decorating". I bet with the right splashes of colors it could be very nice.

14 months ago: Pastor don't care what they say. Happy, the cave decorating is a brilliant idea. You should run with that. Box - the meek already inherited the earth thousands of years ago. What's your point?

14 months ago: Oh. I thought the first great Teacher told us that the the meek "shall" inherit the earth, not that the meek had already inherited the earth. Can you educate us as to when this inheritance was doled out, because I don't think I got my fair share.

14 months ago: I'm not wanting to be disrespectful, Box, but I barely read your nonsense sometimes. Your Rant sounded disrespectful. I know you offer a lot of good sense, and I do agree with a lot of what you say but sometimes it just goes overboard. I think the meek already inherited the Earth. Thieves have been trying to steal that away since the beginning. Unless, you were there. I don't think you make a good witness.

When did the meek inherit the earth?
14 months ago: "It is Un-American that any tax-paying American should be forced to live in a cave."

Indeed. That's why the 99ers aren't the only people who need help. There's no way that unemployment extensions should get passed w/o consideration for others who are hurting just as bad, if not worse.

"Many sectors of modern American society want nothing more than to see all 99ers die immediately.'

And this is just a ridiculous statement.

It'd be nice if one day you actually post something worthwhile about the whole situation. Every day it's the same copy/paste post from you. I don't get it - unless it's about drawing traffic for money.

By now it seems you just seem to exploit the words rather than providing anything meaningful. No, that is not a criticism of 99ers.

Think about it. If you wanted to provide people with a greater understanding of the struggle wouldn't it make more sense to write that? Instead it's the same thing wrapped in a few different words - give it to me now.

If a person read these and had no idea what 99ers and this other jargon means they would come away more confused, rather than supportive, enlightened, etc. Perhaps that's your goal. The negative attention is better than none...

@ Sunny2

Why don't you encourage PD to write about this topic more in depth? In the whole scheme of things do you think that someone deciding whether to support unemployment extensions really gains anything? Early on PD said that he wasn't taught to beg, but every one of these is just that, and more, since it's a begging demand.

I guess if I were in your shoes I'd advocate for myself in a different way. One that was really advocacy. Personally, as an activist, I don't see how these help the cause, but maybe I'm totally mistaken.

14 months ago: Alex - From what I see, people's replies to him are cold hearted with no meaningful content. Nobody knows what this person is going through and his actions reflect a feeling of being trapped. It sounds like he is reaching out to people for help. I don't think the remarks that are left for him have any depth. I think they are really meant to hurt and ridicule. Those instigators are not innocent and have nothing to add to any advocacy. I'm not sure what they advocate. I support the cause because I am well aware of what is going on. I would always worry about another human being who seems to be in a downhill spiral from this experience. 99ers have been stripped of all sense of dignity and are trying to hold onto something. People don't need to throw fuel on his hurting. Unfortunately, that is the World as he sees it. Perhaps he can change this to give a more profound message to help others like himself. It seems he is losing hope. I don't turn my back on people. Alex, what is real advocacy to you? Please give suggestions. I really would like to know. Maybe these other guys would learn something, too.

Maybe I'm just too sensitive to this issue, being brought up under the "poverty level".

I think you nailed it!

14 months ago: amishKing - White people have always been poor. Maybe just not noticed because of the color of their skin. I've been doing advocacy work for the poor for so long, I can't remember when it started. Everyone is important to me that's why we go into areas to help those that need it the most. The children are the most important think to me in this Life. They have to have a chance.

14 months ago: Box - We have to get this economy going again. Everyone has to work together. It doesn't matter differences of opinion. I was asked to go to Washington to be an advocate for a cause. There are so many problems. One at a time has to be resolved and it is tiring. The old way is dying as you said but being replaced with something worse. Americans have to stay on top of things every second. We are proud people that love our Country, and it has withstood beatings but has always survived because of common folks. Our Fathers. brothers and sisters have protected in battle so that we can go on. We owe them respect to keep our dignity. I'm worried more about someone else in my family than myself. Once having to take a bad job because of need is a horrifying experience when the bosses are use to treating their staff badly. They beat people down. They show no mercy. It's a struggle to get back. I think this is what people are feeling that loss of dignity.

14 months ago: Box do you also realize that everything goes around and comes back again in this World. No issue is brand new. I told you before that I don't think Tier 5 is an answer. Jobs are a way back. We need everyone to be able to live in dignity. Some of these jobs are taking advantage of skilled labor and destroying it.
14 months ago: Out Of The Box,

It's refreshing to see that you have already begun to abuse your "power" as a parvenu moderator here at Rant Rave to grant me "permission" to write about a topic that I introduced months ago.

Your Jedi mind tricks will NOT work on me.

Please answer the following question truthfully for all to read:

Are you one of the digital personas that the U.S. government recently created to foment civil wars across the globe?

Happygolucky,

If it's broadcast on HGTV (aside: what the hell is HGTV?), then I'm sure that you will be watching.

sunny2,

Thank you for your consistent support.

99ers will survive Holocaust 2011 and be stronger for it.

We get tougher as we suffer.

Alex_,

Thanks again for validating my rant.

The compassion and support of talented people such as yourself ensures that our cause will not only be addressed, but that it will be solved.

amishking,

What you focus on will grow.

My so-called "power" as a moderator has nothing to do with my granting you permission to use my original concept. I don't recall you posting anything resembling 99ers making the best use of their new status, being in line to become the new oppressors. Your use of the word "parvenu" intrigues me.

Truth be known, I only broke the story about the PMS here on rantrave as a cover. The best place to hide something is in plain sight. Same principal as with UFOs, reptilians, and the Masons.

Regarding my Jedi mind tricks: If you are susceptible to them, it will seem to you that the last word in this comment will be "schizophrenia".

schizophrenia

14 months ago: Box - I can throw my religous background out there for you to tear it apart, but we all have a right to believe in what we want. So, go for it. Fine with me.
Also, you use the word "schizophrenia" too loosely. You are not a doctor or a psychiatrist. You don't know the first thing about it. I would quit while you are ahead. I do know about it first hand. I think you overstepped your big mouth today.

14 months ago: Box I really think you are discriminating when you use that word.

I didn't know that the word schizophrenia was on the list of non politically correct words. And I apologise, I didn't realize that you are a doctor or a psychiatrist, and that you are an expert on mental illness, which gives you the right to tell others when they can or can't use medical terms. My bad. (P.S. It was a joke, lighten up. (But I'm not telling you to lighten up, just suggesting it. I would never presume to tell you how much humor you should or shouldn't employ.))

And yes, I do consider myself a discriminating person, by several, but not popular uses of the word.

I would never tear your religious background apart. I was just asking when the meek inherited the earth. Here's my take:
When Jesu gave his Sermon on the Mount, He went though the Beattitudes, And Mat. 5:5 says "Blessed are the meek, for they SHALL inherit the earth." As in, sometime in the future.

It also says in Mat. 5:22: "...whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

14 months ago: Answer me this your Holy PD. If you were offered a job making $10 an hour would you take it and be a working member of society?
sunny2
sunny2
14 months ago: I know people who were not working because of lay offs. They took jobs at a lower scale than the normal 25 - 30 an hour they were use to on an average and had to settle for the 10 or 8. If the job is good and clean, you work it, if not, you can't. If the environment isn't a healthy one and you have to breath in chemicals, or if it is an abusive one from a boss that is determined to beat you down, you can't even focus. Have you tried lately? You are subject to sexual abuse and harassment even if they see you drive a better car or wear better clothes. In every instance you have to sink to that level to survive. A lot of jobs will not hire you if they are less than what you have been doing. When you still have education loans to pay, you have to have a better job. No two ways about it. Only they are not there, so you suffer through it.
Since we have to eat and pay bills, we are responsible citizens, so what is the gripe. Most people are doing that. I'm sure PD does what he has to.
