http://www.informationweek.com/news/gove...The impending Personal Identity Verification (PIV) system has some in a panic... as if this is one of the final steps toward the "Mark of the Beast" in Revelation (last Book of the Bible). The RFID radio-frequency identification Chip was also feared to be the "mark" as it could be placed under the skin, in the hand or forehead of anyone using it. But is it really "THE MARK?" ...many throw around enough Bible just to be dangerous, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be the start of the global deception to be perpetrated on the planet... the following are the Bible references concerned...
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:16-17).
"...If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:" (Revelation 14:9-10)
...so you can see that it is of some importance NOT to receive the MARK or number of the BEAST, whatever and whoever that is. FOR those who don't believe the Bible or it's warnings, this topic may appear as another fear-tactic to get someone to consider the Bible. Fear or not, I think that the Bible is contemporary with our existence... especially now that it is possible for these things to happen on a global scale, that only a few years ago was impossible. For anything to be imposed on the entire planet it would require global cooperation... again impossible until now.
BUT just because it is possible it doesn't mean inevitable... does it? Well I see that according to the scriptures cited... the MARK has do with trade, commerce and allegiance to this global power. Another place in the Bible states that this BEAST claims to be god... so the "punishment" associated with the MARK would be the receiving a counterfeit god as Lord of all... a breach of the first commandment.
"He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God." (2 Thessalonians 2:4)
NO doubt that the "Iron Fist" is tightening it's grip... yet in itself, do we see a ID card or RFID Chip as the MARK? Well, just try and refuse it... and see what happens. IF you are unable to buy or sell... there may be some weight to the argument. WE are constantly given the "benefits" of a global ID chip or card... for security reasons, maybe to locate someone that has been kidnapped or something.
It may be for all these "good" reasons many will receive the MARK. What is your resolve?
