Last week 50 Cent tweeted: "If you [are] a man and your over 25 and you don't eat pu**y just kill yourself damn it. The world will be a better place."
Of course, he later recanted and saying it was joke, here are his comments about the tweet.
"The other night I made a joke about a b**w job. My male followers enjoyed it. So I then went on to joke about women receiving the same."
"Somehow they turned a simple joke about oral sex into an anti-gay statement. I have nothing against people who choose an alternative lifestyle, in fact I've publicly stated my mum loved women.
"It's funny how people think negative statements are newsworthy but positive statements are not worthy of coverage."
Sorry Mr. Cents, what ever your publicist wrote won't cover what you started. I really don't think you could use such big words, with out putting a curse word in a sentence.
Don't get me wrong 50, as I like a some of your music, but not all. You're very wrong here and you need to make a public apology to not just gay people but to all people. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, " All straight men who don't s*** d*** should just kill yourself." I don't think you would like that very much.
What if people stopped buying your music because of this little twitt? I'm sure you would blame it on the "Gay People" Instead of blaming it on yourself 50. Stand up and be a man and make an apology to the gay community or I have a feeling your music career may suffer more than you think.
50, I'm going share a little story with you. I used to homophobic just like you. This changed about 20 years ago one night while a was working in a restaurant as a cook. The manager and I were always the last people to close the place every night. He was gay and I hated him. As he would always say gay things, like when he his hands were full with an order for a table and someone would be in his way. His normal quote was: "Behind you, scary thought isn't it?" said with a Ru Paul like voice. I used to cringe and just shake when I ever I heard this.
Then one night after he and were alone as usual, I was just finishing cleaning up the kitchen, as he walked in and said hey, sit down and have a glass of wine with me. I'm thinking "Look buddy I'm straighter then arrow pointing to free money!" But I said OK, after all it was free booze and if he tried anything I would just get up and knock him out. We sat down at a table he poured the wine and we started talking. He was doing most of the talking, it was about his life where he came from, his family, what he did in high school and so on. Not once during our ½ hour conversation did the word gay come out.
As I was leaving and getting into my car I stopped and I released something from this night, gay people are no different then anyone else, why in the hell am I homophobic, just because someone has a different sexual orientation then I do, does not mean I must fear them. It means I must embrace their thoughts and feelings or I might just miss something in life by avoiding people that have different thoughts then I.
The manager and I became good buddies after that night and during the course of our friendship the word Gay never came out or did he ever make any sexual advances towards me. Kinda made me mad, " What I'm not good looking enough for you to hit on? "
50, I would suggest you do the same, spend some time with someone who has a alternative lifestyle, I mean quality time, hang out, catch a movie, go to a sporting event. Just do it 50, and I'm sure your views will change.
Would like to send a shout out to that Manager that changed my veiws that night at Rose City Diner.
"Thanks Scott! you opened my eyes"
